Fitting Bays

Six Bays. Each One Answers a Different Question.

There is no combined "everything" package here, because a driver session and a wedge session look nothing alike. Pick the one that matches the club that is annoying you, and we will tell you honestly whether the rest of the bag needs attention too.

What Every Bay Has in Common

Before

Your Own Clubs Get Profiled

Whatever you bring goes on the bench first. Length, lie, loft, swing weight, butt frequency and grip build-up all get recorded. That baseline is the only way to prove a change actually changed something.

During

One Variable at a Time

We do not hand you five completely different clubs and ask which felt best. Length moves, then lie, then shaft profile, then head, then weight — each isolated so the cause of the improvement is never in doubt.

After

A Spec Sheet You Keep

Every recommendation is written out in full build language: raw length, tip trim, butt frequency target, playing length, swing weight, grip and wrap count. Take it anywhere.

Choosing

If You Only Have Time for One Bay

Nine out of ten players who call us are describing one of four problems. Here is where each of those problems is usually best solved first, based on what actually walks through the door.

  • Losing balls off the tee. Start in the driver bay. Length and shaft profile fix more tee-shot dispersion than any head change ever has.
  • Yardage gaps that will not behave. Start with irons. Inconsistent gapping is almost always a frequency or lie problem inside an otherwise fine set.
  • Nothing between the 4 iron and the 3 wood. Hybrid bay. That is a spacing problem, and it is the cheapest one on this list to solve.
  • Chunking and thinning short shots. Wedge bay. Bounce and grind almost always come before technique on that particular complaint.
Full Bag Assessments

The Long Way Round

We do run full-bag work, but only as a series of separate sessions across two or three visits, never as one marathon afternoon. Fatigue ruins fitting data faster than anything else, and the numbers you produce in hour four are not the numbers you play with.

If you want the whole bag looked at, tell us on the phone and we will lay the visits out in a sensible order and price them as a block.

Bench-Only Work

No Session Required

Re-gripping, lie and loft bends, shaft pulls and re-installs, swing weight adjustments, ferrule replacement and single-club repairs are all bench jobs. Drop the club off and we will call you when it is done — no fitting appointment needed.

Bench rates are listed on the rates page.

Equipment on Hand

What the Bays Are Actually Fitted With

E-1 Launch Monitor Doppler unit reading ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, descent angle and carry, positioned for both indoor net work and open-door sessions.
E-2 Frequency Analyser Bench-mounted CPM meter with a five-inch butt clamp, used on every incoming club and every finished build.
E-3 Loft and Lie Machine Gauge and bending bar for cast and forged irons and wedges, with a soft-face clamp for finished heads.
E-4 Swing Weight Scale Fourteen-inch fulcrum scale, checked against a reference club at the start of every build day.
E-5 Shaft Puller and Curing Rack Heat collar and puller for graphite recovery, plus a rack that holds builds vertical while epoxy cures overnight.
E-6 Trial Head and Shaft Library Adapter-fitted trial heads and a rack of uncut and pre-trimmed shafts covering the common weight and profile bands.

Start With One Club, Not the Whole Bag

A single-club session takes an hour or two and usually explains most of what is wrong further down the bag. Book that first and decide about the rest afterwards.
